MacMinute reader Bryan Chang has posted a photo gallery from the grand opening of Apple’s new mini retail store at the Oakridge Mall in San Jose, California. The new mini store is one of six that opened on Saturday across the US. Half the size of Apple’s smallest retail store, they feature stainless steel walls, gloss-white floors and ceilings, and checkout areas with barcode scanners built into the walls.

New owner found for Jobs’ mansion?

Apple CEO Steve Jobs may have found someone who wants his 78-year-old mansion in Woodside, California. As previously reported, Jobs is trying to give away the home, which he calls a “dump,” to appease preservationists who don’t want it torn down.
