Other World Computing (OWC) and NewerTech today announced the availability of NuPower high-capacity replacement batteries for all Apple iBook G3 12-inch 500-900MHz “Dual USB” models and all iBook G3 300-466MHz “Clamshell” models. The 3600mAh “Dual USB” battery is priced at US$119.99 and provides 9 percent more capacity than the original Apple stock battery, while the 4800mAh model for $139.99 provides 45 percent more capacity.
Read MorePiper Jaffray senior research analyst Gene Munster said Friday that based on Apple’s announcement of 200 millions songs being downloaded from the iTunes Music Store so far, the company is selling approximately 5.5 millions songs per week, up from 3.5 to 4 million songs last quarter. Based on this run rate, Munster said in a research note to clients, he is expecting iTunes downloads in the December quarter to reach 68.5 million, up from his previous estimate of 52.1 million.
