Tekkeon today announced myPower, a new all-in-one iPod accessory that combines a case/portable dock with a built-in rechargeable battery. The US$89.95 device adds 32 extra hours of battery life to 4G iPods, 20 extra hours to 3G iPods, and 28 extra hours to iPod minis. myPower includes a FireWire port and a USB 2.0 port to sync an iPod, as well as a line out port and 5V charging output for charging a mobile phone or other devices.

Apple: ‘Opener’ malware not a virus

Apple has denied that the malicious code dubbed “Opener” is a virus, Trojan horse or a worm. However, the security community disagrees, saying that while the program is not an immediate threat, it is a worm because it attempts to copy itself. “Opener is not a virus, Trojan horse, or worm,” Apple said in a statement. “It does not propagate itself across a network, through email, or over the Web.
