Morgan Stanley analyst Rebecca Runkle has lowered her 2005 PC growth forecast to 9 percent from 11 percent, citing better-than-expected performance in the PC market in 2004, as well as signs of a slowdown in the market late in the year. In Runkle’s view, however, Apple shows the best chance of gaining market share in 2005. She said Apple should continue to benefit from the momentum of the iPod and iMac G5. Runkle also said Dell and Gateway should do well.
