Marathon Computer today announced RePorter, a new device that extends USB, FireWire and audio ports from the rear of a Mac or PC to a more convenient location. It sports two USB ports, one FireWire 400 port, one FireWire 800 port, and Audio In and Audio Out (1/8″ stereo minijacks). RePorter features a spherical body made of high-impact injection-molded plastic, with a flat front face. A single 1.5-meter cable that splits apart into one-foot lengths reaches around to the computer’s rear panel. The Marathon RePorter is available now for US$59.
