During Apple’s fourth quarter conference call today, Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer confirmed that the company will open six “Mini Stores” this Saturday. Oppenheimer said the smaller stores will have a completely new layout and design, and will allow Apple to get its products in front of more people in “interesting locations.” No specific locations were provided. Oppenheimer also noted that this will be Apple’s fourth store format and that the company still plans to have 100 retail stores open by the end of the calendar year.
