The recurring “Save This Old House” column in the current issue of This Old House magazine (October 2004) features a home owned by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. As reported back in June, Jobs wanted to tear down the Spanish Colonial mansion in Woodside, California, because he claims it is a dump and is in need of a lot of work. But he is now apparently giving away the home to anyone who will move it. “Jobs wants to build a smaller house and initially planned to demolish the mansion. However, he is now hoping to donate it to someone who will move it and restore it on a new site, preferably within the community,” the magazine says.
