Sony today announced the Cyber-shot M1, a 5.1-megapixel camera that automatically records five seconds of QVGA video before and three seconds after a still image is snapped. The matte-black camera is about the size of a deck of cards, is held vertically, and offers a 2.5-inch articulated LCD that rotates 270 degrees. Other features include a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3X optical zoom lens, MPEG-4 compression, and more. The Cyber-shot M1 is expected in December for about US$600.
