Apple the most innovative company in past 75 years

Apple is viewed as the most innovative company of the past 75 years, according to a recent survey conducted by BusinessWeek. Apple, which received 35% of votes, was followed closely by Microsoft with 32%, and Pixar with 31%. Microsoft chairman Bill Gates (50%) did, however, beat out Apple CEO Steve Jobs (47%) as the most innovative CEO. More than half named the personal computer (56%) and the Internet (51%) as the greatest innovations. Senior business executives were asked to name the greatest innovations and innovators of the past 75 years in celebration of BusinessWeek’s 75th anniversary.
