A story by Tony Smith on The Register today reports that Apple is seeking two hardware engineers for its iPod division with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi experience. This would seem to indicate that Apple has some wireless plans in store for the popular music player. Smith suspects that Apple isn’t looking to connect the iPod to a host Mac or PC wirelessly to sync music, but rather to “equip the device with the tools needed to communicate remotely with said host and Apple’s AirPort Express music-routing Wi-Fi access point.” Apple was not available for comment, but the job applications can be viewed here and here.
