Salling Software today released Salling’s Remote Basics 1.0, a set of free remote controls for popular Mac applications that work with Sony Ericsson’s K700 and upcoming S700 models. “The K700 and S700 models have a simple built-in feature that lets the user remotely control a computer using Bluetooth,” said Jonas Salling. “Unfortunately, popular Macintosh applications are not supported out-of-the-box.” Salling’s Remote Basics 1.0 fills the gap by adding the ability to control iTunes, DVD Player, EyeTV, VLC, PowerPoint, and Keynote. Simple commands like stop, next track, volume up/down can be given when the controlled application is in the foreground.
