New Sony camcorder records to three-inch discs

Sony has announced the DCR-DVD301 camcorder, a US$1,100 model with a 3.5-inch SwivelScreen hybrid LCD display and the ability to record directly to three-inch DVD-R/-RW discs, which play in most current home and computer DVD players, as well as later releases of the PlayStation 2. The DCR-DVD301, which will be available in October, also has the ability to take one-megapixel digital still images.
