Yumiko Itoh and Michiaki Yamashita have updated LightWayText and iText, multilingual text editors that are popular in Japan, to versions 4.1.4 and 3.1.4, respectively. The products are compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 7.1-9.x. There are also English, French, Italian language versions. “iText is one of the de facto standard products in Japan,” Itoh told MacMinute. “Both LightWayText and iText have been given many Japanese awards. Japanese supporters are really enthusiastic about LightWayText and iText, and love their great reliability and high speed.
