The Honeoye Falls-Lima (New York) school board is leasing for a four-year period 711 iBooks from Apple (661 for students and 50 for teachers) at a total cost of US$859,782, reports the Democrat and Chronicle. According to the plan, sixth, seventh and eighth-graders will use them at home and in school. At the end of the lease period, the district will have the option of buying the computers or leasing new equipment.
