REAL Software has updated its REALbasic editing environment to version 5.5.3, which adds more options for building REALbasic plug-ins. Developers can now use familiar environments like GCC, Visual Studio and Apple’s Xcode to create REALbasic plug-ins. Version 5.5.3 also provides more reliable cross-platform group project management capabilities in REALbasic Project Manager, improves support for the Mac OS X Address Book, and adds support for XML in console applications and RBScript in Linux console applications. It’s a free maintenance update for all REALbasic 5.5 customers.
