Terra Lycos, Europe, this week quietly launched its 1GB email service, reports India’s TechTree.com. The service, which is available this week in the UK (other European markets will be added later), will not use profiles of users to deliver advertising. Instead, it will charge £3.49 per month for the 1GB service, and include features such as spam protection, synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, 30 free instant messages per month, a free domain name and up to 50 email accounts. The company will still offer its free 10MB service, as well as a paid 100MB option (£1.99 per month) with no additional email accounts and no free domain name.
