Alien Technology has released Proteus X 4.0, the latest version of its multi-service instant messaging client for Mac OS X. The application supports all major instant messaging services ( ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Yahoo Japan, Rendezvous, and Jabber). New features in version 4.0 include an all new interface, support for AIM and ICQ buddy icons, customizable message views, a new event system, a new setup assistant, Address book synchronization, and much more. Proteus X is priced at US$15.
