While it probably has nothing to do with the computer company, Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow on Friday gave birth to a baby girl named Apple Blythe Alison Martin. The baby’s father is Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin. All four members of the band do own PowerBooks and iPods, and they used Pro Tools and Power Macs to create both of their hit albums. Martin was even quoted in an Apple press release last year singing the praises of the iTunes Music Store. “It’s clear Apple has delivered a working and successful platform for music fans to discover artists and purchase both albums and single songs instantly with ease,” he said. “We embrace these efforts enthusiastically and see them as the future of our business.” Coincidence?
