Mage Software today announced the release of inkBook 1.0, a new freeform note-taking application for MacOS X. “Just like a real pencil and notebook, you write your notes with your pen and tablet on inkBook documents,” says Mage. “What you write remains how you wrote it, where you wrote it. However, inkBook harnesses the power of Apple’s handwriting recognition technology, InkWell, to also recognize what you write. This gives you the ability to search your handwritten notes and even copy and paste them as text or graphics to other applications.” inkBook is priced at US$20.00 and requires MacOS X 10.3 or higher. A 30-day demo is also available.
