Helios Software has developed Helios File System Test, a small (and free) tool for testing various file server features relevant to Mac OS X. You can use it to see whether the utilized file server, is in all respects, compatible with Mac OS X. The Helios File System Test suite has 11 single tests and is suited to examine the following Mac OS X network connections: AFP (Apple Filing Protocol), NFS (Network File System), SMB/CIFS (Windows SMB Protocol) and WebDAV (iDisk HTTP based protocol).
