Autonomic Software, a start-up venture, has launched the Autonomic Network & Security Administration (ANSA) system, which is Mac OS X compatible. As an autonomic system, ANSA applies a virtually transparent “system managing systems” technology to resolve deficiencies associated with current patch and asset management practices, according to the folks at Autonomic Software. ANSA pricing is based on a per-agent basis, with a suggested retail price of US$35 per agent for networks with less than 100 clients.
