The MacObserver notes that Apple has been issued a patent for a “display device with a moveable assembly.” Very interesting prototype drawings from the patent application show a flat-panel iMac with what appears to be a snake-like adjustable arm than allows for more movement than the one present on current iMac models. The application was filed on November 8, 2001–a few months before the flat-panel iMac debuted.
