Miglia Technology has announced the US$89 Alchemy FW 800 CB laptop expansion card, which offers a way to add or upgrade FireWire connectivity to your PowerBook. It supports both FireWire 400 and 800 devices and plugs into a free PC-Card slot. The Alchemy FW 800 CB has an optional power supply to allow bus powering. It’s compatible with Mac OS X (10.2.5 and higher) and Mac OS 9.1 (and higher).
