Princeton University’s insurance company claims that a faulty Power Mac G4 is the cause of 2001 incident that resulted in US$2 million in fire damage. The insurer has now filed suit against Apple hoping that it will be able to get reimbursed for some of the money it paid out to the university. Lawyers employed by Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance Co. took advantage of a clause in their policy to file suit under the university’s name after they were unable to resolve the case with Apple. An initial hearing is scheduled for April 8.
