Rainer Brockerhoff has announced the release of Nudge 1.0, a contextual menu for the Mac OS X Finder. He says, “The current Finder doesn’t always update folder contents, sizes or file attributes instantaneously, as many programs don’t generate the necessary notification. Select any Finder item(s) and Nudge will ask the Finder to update its display. On Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) and up, you can control-click on the empty space in any Finder window and have the contextual menu act on the containing folder.” Nudge is free, but Mac OS X 10.2 or later is recommended.
