Atomic Bird has released Macaroni 2.0, an update to its utility that performs both improved versions of standard Unix maintenance tasks and maintenance specific to Mac OS X. Version 2.0 adds an option that periodically removes user-specified language-specific localized files from applications to save disk space. This release also adds a new scheduling choice for custom maintenance jobs, enabling users to schedule their custom jobs to run whenever their Mac wakes from sleep. Also, a rewritten Macaroni core provides smoother, more efficient operation. Macaroni sells for US$8.99.
