Formac announces 17.4″ VGA flat-panel display

Formac today announced a VGA version of its award-winning Gallery 1740 flat-panel display, which combines the company’s “trendy design language with Fujitsu’s leading Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment technology, setting new industry standards for brightness, viewing angle, contrast ratio and pixel response.” The Gallery 1740 VGA offers a 17.4-inch screen, native 1280×1024 resolution, a 400:1 contrast ratio, a 220 cd/m2 brightness level, a pixel response time of 10-25ms, and a 160 degree viewing angle. It will be available later this month for US$699.

Max Programming today released Web Dumper 1.7, the latest version of its utility that allows users to download and save Web sites for offline browsing. The update adds file size rules allowing user to discard files depending on customized size ranges, new cookies, email addresses, URLs, contents and transaction logs, long filename support on Mac OS X, better HTML tag processing to allow bad formatted HTML code parsing, and more. Web Dumper is available for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, and is US$14.90 shareware.
