Alien Skin announces Xenofex 2

Alien Skin Software today introduced Xenofex 2, a new version of its popular special effects package for Photoshop, Fireworks, Paint Shop Pro, and other image editors. Xenofex 2 adds 14 more effects and “simulates spectacular natural phenomena, produces striking distortions, and instantly transforms photos.” Xenofex 2 will be available for Mac OS X late in the first quarter of 2003 for US$129.

Xupport 1.2.4 released

Xupport 1.2.4 is the latest version of the utility that provides a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to configure many Mac OS X options, which may be tricky to configure manually. Version 1.2.4 enables “System file journaling” on any volume, as well as other feature enhancements and bug fixes. Xupport requires Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, and is priced at US$20.
