Econ releases ImageCaster 1.0.4

Econ Technologies has announced the release of ImageCaster 1.0.4, the latest version of its Webcam application built for Mac OS X. ImageCaster is designed around a simple tabbed interface and provides a comprehensive set of features to get your Webcam up and running with a Mac and a video camera. Version 1.0.4 includes “Frame Canvas” control, improved script execution and error reporting, enhanced FTP browse and upload options, along with several bug fixes.

Dr. Mac: “Safari may indeed be best Mac browser ever”

“Safari is wicked fast,” writes Bob “Dr. Mac” LeVitus in the Houston Chronicle, “with a clean, uncluttered interface and a feature I love — a special field in its toolbar that lets you search the Web via Google without going to the Google Web page first. I’ve been using Safari for several weeks, and even though it’s still in beta, it has become my browser of choice. It is much faster than the others, and it may very well be the best browser ever created.

Jobs and Wozniak signatures up for auction

The premier issue of Macworld magazine autographed by Apple CEO Steve Jobs that was auctioned on eBay earlier this month has been updated with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak’s signature. The original auction ended with a high bid of US$2,274. However, the auction’s reserve price was not met. We received an email from the seller today letting us know of his latest auction details.
