Wired’s Leander Kahney takes a look at the grassroots campaign that was launched on the Web last week to persuade Apple CEO Steve Jobs to run for President of the United States. According to the article, the campaign didn’t fail because of a lack of interest. APC announces end-to-end protection for Xserve

American Power Conversion (APC) today announced that it has expanded support beyond Apple’s desktop solutions to offer end-to-end availability for the company’s UNIX-based Xserve rack-optimized servers. Xserve customers can now purchase power protection and accessories designed to be fully compatible with Xserve including APC’s Smart-UPS line of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and NetShelter VX rack systems.
