Blue World today announced immediate price reductions of up to US$200 on all products in its Lasso product line. The new purchase price for Lasso Studio 6 and Lasso Professional 6 is now $299 and $999 respectively. Blue World has also announced the popular Fusebox application framework and methodology is now supported on the Lasso platform. Asustek offers to buy iBook manufacturing plant

Asustek Computer has offered Elitegroup Computer Systems $28 million for a manufacturing plant, primarily used in the production of Apple iBooks, reports EBN. “Asustek, one of Taiwan’s biggest ODMs makers of laptops and motherboards, announced its plan to buy the facility and its equipment in Chungli, Taiwan. More than half of the factory’s capacity has been allocated for Apple, Cupertino, Calif.
