O’Reilly releases ‘Content Syndication with RSS’

O’Reilly has announced the release of “Content Syndication with RSS” (US$29.95), authored by Ben Hammersley. Originally developed by Netscape in 1999, RSS — which can stand for RDF Site Summary, Rich Site Summary, or Really Simple Syndication — is an XML-based format that allows Web developers to describe and syndicate Web site content. Bella introduces new DV editing keyboards

Bella Corp. today announced a new series of keyboards designed specifically for digital video editing. The keyboards feature an integrated jog/shuttle controller and work with leading video applications including Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress DV, Adobe Premiere, and more. The keyboards can also be used as standard keyboards. The new series of products will be shown at Bella’s booth (#SL1667) on April 7 at NAB 2003 in Las Vegas.

New Monotype collection offers over 1,300 fonts

Agfa Monotype has introduced a new Monotype Library of 1,334 fonts. Over 300 new fonts are in the collection, with designs such as Linex Sans, Haarlemmer and Mosquito. Also featured are classic Monotype faces including Gill Sans and Times New Roman. All fonts within the Monotype Library are available for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Agfa Monotype is the exclusive distributor of the CD-ROM-based library, which will be available May 1.
