F10 Launch Studio gains ‘Chameleon Filter’

Chronos today announced the release of F10 Launch Studio 1.2, the latest version of its popular launch management utility for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). The free update adds two significant new features. The first is a new “Chameleon Filter” that uses adaptive searching technology to produce “lightning-fast” launches. The second new feature allows applications and documents to be viewed as a list in addition to the standard option to view as icons. Version 1.2 also adds several other user requested features.

RIAA CEO praises Apple music service

The New York Times (free subscription required) notes that Hilary Rosen, chairman and chief executive officer of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), said she believed Apple had “struck an industry-friendly balance” with its reported music service. It “has compatibility with a hardware product that is elegant and easy to use,” said Rosen, who said she planned to attend Apple’s special event later today.
