SQLGrinder update offers Panther support

Advenio Software has announced the release of SQLGrinder 1.2.6, a native Mac OS X SQL utility that allows developers to easily create, edit and execute SQL queries, as well as browse their database structures. Version 1.2.6 has been validated against Mac OS X 10.3 and offers several other feature tweaks and fixes. SubRosaSoft ships CipherDisk 1.0

SubRosaSoft today announced the availability of CipherDisk 1.0, a utility which offers protection of data on internal drives, external firewire or USB drives, and CD/DVDs from prying eyes. CipherDisk does this by providing “driver level” 448-bit transparent on-the-fly encryption for Mac OS X volumes. Once you convert a plain volume to an encrypted volume, it will be inaccessible to anyone until you enter a password to unlock it. When unlocked, the drive will run and behave like a regular volume.

Drudge: Eisner calls Jobs, others ‘Shiite Muslims’

According to the Drudge Report, departing Disney board member Stanley Gold claims in an interview that Disney CEO Michael Eisner called him and others — including Apple and Pixar CEO Steve Jobs — “Shiite Muslims.” Gold said that meant Eisner believed his critics were too extreme in their views. A Disney spokeswoman said Eisner “categorically denies” calling anyone a “Shiite Muslim.”
