Apple nominated twice for D&AD Award

Apple has been nominated twice for Product Design in the Design and Art Direction (D&AD) Awards, notes Macworld UK. The Apple products being considered are the LCD iMac G4 and the Xserve rack-optimized 1U server. The other two products up for the award are a digital camera from Casio and Nike’s PSA. Memorex announces exPressit for Mac OS X

Memorex Products today announced exPressit SE 2.1, its new CD and DVD label maker software, with support for both PC and Mac OS X platforms. HP today announced new printing systems and solutions for small business to “increase business productivity and reduce IT spending,” says the company. Announced today are the HP Web Jetadmin Report Generation Plug-in and the HP Print Server Appliance 4250, a server dedicated to printing that can increase productivity through automatic driver distribution, spooling and print queue hosting.

Still Life 2.1 for iMovie released

Granted Software recently released Still Life 2.1, an update to its digital image pan and zoom application. Version 2.1 introduces a new audio track capability, which supports MP3, AIFF, WAV and the new AAC format for compatibility with iTunes 4 and music acquired from the new iTunes Music Store. In addition, this release offers full undo/redo support along with a shot distortion feature for creative special effects and Polish language support.
