PowerBook gets new life with Lego body

The BBC has an article on how Lego blocks brought a dead PowerBook 603e back to life. “Daniele Procida could not bear to see a dead Mac thrown away — so he reconstructed it using Lego bricks pinched from his sons. Rather than bin the Powerbook laptop, he refurbished it using hundreds of colourful pieces, set on mottled artificial green grass.

MacMinute reader Daniel Atteberry attended today’s grand opening of the new Honolulu, Hawaii Apple Store. He was kind enough to provide us with a report and several pictures from the event. “What seemed to be a slow turnout with only 6 of us there by 6:30 AM, turned into well over 1000 that lined up to witness and participate in the opening of Hawaii’s first Apple Store at the Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu.
