AOL 9.0 ditches RealOne player for QuickTime

According to eWeek, the first beta version of the Windows-only AOL 9.0, which was made available to testers Tuesday, drops RealNetworks’ RealOne as its media player of choice in favor of Apple’s Quicktime. “Several long-rumored changes such as a switch from Microsoft Internet Explorer to AOL Time Warner’s own Netscape browser are not included in the current beta release.
