Apple releases iTunes update

Apple today released iTunes 4.0.1, the latest version of the company’s popular digital music player. The update includes “a number of performance and network access enhancements, and only allows music sharing between computers using iTunes 4.0.1 or later on a local network (in the same subnet).” Update: Several readers note that this update disables the Internet sharing of playlists within iTunes 4.

Platinum Wacom Intuos2 tablets coming

Wacom today announced that it will be releasing two of its Intuos2 USB pen tablets in a new “Platinum” finish. The Platinum tablets, which will be available in June, will come in 6×8 and 9×12 sizes. The Intuos2 features 1,024 levels of pen tip and eraser pressure sensitivity and come with a batteryless, cordless stylus and mouse. They come bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, Procreate Painter Classic, penPalette by nik multimedia and Wacom Brushes 1.0.
