Microsoft discontinues IE for Mac development

Roz Ho, general manager of Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit, has confirmed that no future versions of Internet Explorer will be released for the Mac, according to MacUser UK. Ho said the decision was made to make way for Apple’s Safari Web browser. “Some of the key customer requests for Web browsing on the Mac require close development between the browser and the OS, something to which only Apple has access,” she said.

Griffin Technology has released Final Vinyl 1.0.1, the latest version of the company’s utility that allows the recording of vinyl records using just the Griffin iMic or PowerWave and a turntable. Final Vinyl can be used to record instruments, microphones, tapes and any other analogue source, and it includes a 10-band equalizer that is capable of altering and enhancing the sound input.
