Apple’s Joswiak to deliver presentation at Macworld

IDG World Expo today announced that Greg Joswiak, vice president of hardware product marketing at Apple, will deliver the opening feature presentation at Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo, which runs from July 14-18 in New York City this summer. Joswiak, who leads the team responsible for all Apple desktops and portables, including the iPod and AirPort, will speak on Wednesday, July 16 at 9:30 AM ET.

Updates to Internet Explorer expected today

Microsoft let us know that it intends to release Internet Explorer 5.2.3 for Mac OS X later today. Version 5.2.3 offers “security and performance enhancements, as well as improved browser compatibility for enterprise users who work on a network with secure authentication or with proxy servers,” the company noted. In addition, Internet Explorer 5.1.7 for Mac OS 8/9 will be released later this month with similar improvements. The update will be available for free download from Microsoft’s site when it is released.
