Rogue Amoeba releases Nicecast 1.0

Rogue Amoeba Software has released the final version of Nicecast 1.0, its software that allows you to easily broadcast music from Mac OS X. “Broadcast to the far reaches of the globe, or just across your house,” says the company. “Nicecast can help you create your own internet radio station or allow access to your iTunes Music Library from anywhere in the world.” Nicecast can be purchased for US$30 ($40 after December 31).

Halo for Mac reaches Gold Master; shipping this week

MacSoft today announced that the Mac version of Halo: Combat Evolved has reached Gold Master. The company said manufacturing of the product began on Friday, December 5. The game will begin shipping from Destineer’s warehouse on Thursday, December 11.
