BBEdit update adds ‘Refresh BBEdit Preview’ command

Bare Bones Software today released BBEdit 7.1.1, the latest version of the award-winning HTML and text editor. The update adds a new “Refresh BBEdit Preview” command, which can be used to refresh a BBEdit Preview window when files have been changed outside of BBEdit, as in the case of linked images, style sheets, and other external content. This update is also a maintenance release to fix reported issues and add minor enhancements and refinements.

SpamSieve 2.1 adds Apple Mail POP support

Michael Tsai has released SpamSieve 2.1, an update to his Bayesian spam filtering utility for popular e-mail clients such as Apple Mail, Mailsmith, Entourage, PowerMail, and Eudora 6. Version 2.1 includes support for Apple Mail POP accounts (Tsai said POP messages can be marked as junk and colored, but due to limitations in the present version of Mail they cannot be moved to another mailbox).

LaCie offers FireWire 800 PCMCIA card

LaCie today announced a new FireWire 800 PCMCIA card that allows you to add two external FireWire 800 ports and one FireWire 400 port to your current laptop. The FireWire 800 PC Card will give you the ability to transfer your data up to 800 Mbits/sec (400 Mbits/sec with FireWire 400). It will be available later this month for US$79.
