Epson rolls out two new photo scanners

Epson today announced two new photo scanners — the Perfection 3170 and 1670 — which offer “an incredible combination of image quality, versatility and innovative photo restoration software at an affordable price.” The Perfection 3170 (US$199) delivers a maximum resolution of 3200×6400 dpi, while the 1670 ($129) offers 1600×3200 resolution. Apple Q3 earnings due today

Apple will announce its third quarter financial results after the markets close this afternoon. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call are looking for a profit of 3 cents a share on revenue of $1.5 billion. As previously noted, a conference call discussing the earnings will take place at 5:30 PM ET and will be webcast. MacMinute will post the third quarter results and highlights from the call.
