Charismac releases FibreShare for Mac OS X

Charismac today announced the release of FibreShare for OS X, the latest release of the company’s Storage Area Networking (SAN) software. The volume management software package allows multiple users to share between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, and have shared read and write access to Fibre Channel storage without the bottlenecks commonly associated with traditional Ethernet-based networking.

Apple eyes ‘slight’ Q4 profit

Apple CFO Fred Anderson said Wednesday that he expects a “slight increase” in fourth quarter earnings. “We are very proud to have exceeded our revenue target for the third quarter despite the difficult economic backdrop,” said Anderson. “We continue to be pleased with our working capital management and our ability to increase cash which totals over US$4.5 billion.

PTC launches Pro/Concept 2.0 for Mac OS X

PTC today announced that its conceptual and industrial design solution, Pro/Concept, which is being unveiled at the MacWorld CreativePro Expo this week in New York City, is expected to be available for Mac OS X in the Fall of 2003. Pro/Concept 2.0 is PTC’s conceptual design solution that allows designers to capture, explore and develop product designs and create realistic digital product models quickly and inexpensively.
