Willow offers portable MacLab cases for schools

Willow Design has announced a series of cases to fit multiple 15-inch PowerBooks, 14-inch iBooks, and the original “clamshell” iBooks to make setting up portable Mac curriculum labs in schools easier. The cases will fit five to seven of the Mac laptops, an AirPort Base Station, as well as all the power supplies, cords and accessories needed to set up a portable Mac lab — all in separated in protective compartments. Konfabulator 1.5 brings host of new features

Arlo Rose and Perry Clarke have released Konfabulator 1.5, an update to their JavaScript runtime engine for Mac OS X that lets you run small files called Widgets. Version 1.5 adds over 200 new features, including support for drag and drop, direct text input, keyboard events, mouse event tracking, and better desktop integration. In addition, the default Widgets were updated and five new ones were added. The software sells for US$25 and requires Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) or later.

Mac-based Weblog service offers free trial accounts

Sparkpod, a Weblog (blog) hosting company, has announced the availability of free trial accounts for its service. Sparkpod was designed using 100% Macintosh-based solutions — programmed using WebObjects, designed using Macs, and hosted on Xserves — although PC users may also use it.
