Iconfactory releases ‘Garbage In, Garbage Out’ icons

The Iconfactory’s “New Icon Tuesdays” continue today with the release of “Garbage In, Garbage Out,” a set of freeware trashcan replacement icons from resident artist Anthony Piraino. The set contains renderings of five different items, each with an “empty” and “full” state for a total of 10 icons. “Simply drag these icons into CandyBar to give your Dock’s trashcan a fun makeover.”

HyperSpell provides access to OS X spell checking

Kuwan.net has announced the release of HyperSpell 1.0, a menu item that provides quick access to Mac OS X’s built-in spellchecker from any application. “All you do is click on HyperSpell’s icon in the menu bar and enter the word, or words, that you want spellchecked. Words that are misspelled appear with a red underline,” notes the developer. “You can then control-click (or right-click) on the misspelled words to reveal a list of possible spellings.” HyperSpell is priced at US$10 ($8 during its first month of release).
