Pod2Go 0.5 provides news, weather, more to iPod

Kainjow Software today released Pod2Go 0.5, an update to its handy application that allows users to download news, weather, movie listings, horoscopes and more onto their iPod. A wide variety of news and information resources are available, including MacMinute, iPoding, iPodlounge, Famous Birthdays, Joke of the Day, Quote of the Day, Today in History, and many more. Changes in version 0.5 include a movie and weather rewrite, weather switched to Weather Underground, an interface make over, numerous bug fixes and more.

Apple CFO to speak at Smith Barney Tech Conference

Apple chief financial officer Fred Anderson will be a speaker at the Smith Barney Citigroup 2003 Technology Conference on Wednesday, September 3, at approximately 2:20 PM ET. The three-day seminar begins on Tuesday, September 2, and takes place at the Hilton hotel in New York City. Smith Barney Citigroup expects more than 130 companies to deliver presentations to more than 1,600 investors at this year’s conference. Anderson’s presentation will be audio webcast.
