PopChar X gets ready for Panther with 2.1.1 release

Macility today announced the release of PopChar X 2.1.1, a maintenance update to its application that makes typing of unusual characters easy without having to remember keyboard combinations. Version 2.1.1 fixes some minor issues, is smaller and faster than previous releases, and contains some modifications to prepare for compatibility with the upcoming Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. PopChar X is priced at US$29 and is a free upgrade for all registered users.

Transmit adds SubEthaEdit, Panther support

Panic today released Transmit 2.6, the latest release of the company’s FTP client for Mac OS X. Version 2.6 adds support for SubEthaEdit (formerly Hydra), fixes UI issues for Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, displays the number of items in file lists, and numerous bug fixes, including problems with SFTP and and renaming. Transit requires Mac OS X 10.1 or higher, and is priced at US$24.95.
