SmartDisk Corporation today introduced CrossFire, a new line of high performance desktop hard drives that connect to both USB and FireWire computers. CrossFire drives, with a 3.5″ mechanism and capacities up to 250GB, feature a high-performance 7200-RPM mechanism, operate with both USB 2.0 and FireWire interfaces, and run quietly since they require no internal fan.
