Roxio shares rose 25 percent Wednesday after the company announced a partnership with Samsung on a new portable digital music player for Roxio’s upcoming relaunch of Napster. As of market close Wednesday, Roxio’s shares were up US$2.09, or 25%, to $10.46 on volume of 3.1 million shares, compared with average daily volume of 707,964 shares.
